beautiful lunar maps

these are maps of the geological composition of the moon, but i think they are quite beautiful as art. these images are from the U.S. Geological Survey’s Astrogeology Research Program on mapping the moon, and I saw them on generator.x. I like the idea of creating art based on data and maps.
