kitchen countertops

my inspiration for our countertops:



we are getting carrera marble for our island except we plan to have an overhang on the island for counter stools. I think we also might use the marble to make a sill for the kitchen window.



For the rest of the kitchen, we are using this darker bamboo edge grain countertop:

Our cabinetry is really similar to those in the top photo. I think those are ikea cabinets like ours, but we chose a glossy white finish instead of flat. Our floors are similar too, red oak. I think it's going to be nice! The natural materials for the countertops will keep the glossy white cabinetry from feeling cold. Both materials are somewhat high maintenance, but I love the look and am happy we bought eco-friendly bamboo. I also am really excited to make pies on the marble island!
